At 10:00 am on March 2, the SFS launched the national-level MOOCs — “Self-Learning College English Course” (Part 1) and “Self-Learning College English Course” (Part 2) on the“iCourse” platform. This was the fifth round of national-level MOOCs with more than 1.07 million learners. It was also the sixth MOOC offered by the SFS in response to “anti covid-19” and the call of “study must not stop”.

Since the beginning of online courses of this semester, the SFS has successively opened 5 MOOCs, including “Advanced Academic English for General Purposes”, “Advanced College English”, “A History of England from the Tudors to the Present”, “Academic Paper Writing for Postgraduates”, “A Multidimensional Guide to Masterpieces of British Literature — Life Wisdom in Sense and Sensibility” to improve online class learning for undergraduates and non-English major postgraduates and English major online classroom teaching.

In this semester, the SFS has also opened two new SPOC courses, “Introduction to Computer-aided Translation” and “English Public Speaking”, which are open to students in USTB and support online classroom teaching of elective courses.
