Jennifer Yameng Liang has written widely in the field of discourse analysis. Her publications include “Legitimating Sex Education through Children’s Picture books in China” (2018, Sex Education), “Where Do I Come From? Metaphors in Sex Education Picture Books for Young Children in China” (2016, Metaphor and Symbol), “Representing Sexuality and Morality in Sex Education Picture Books in Contemporary China” (2016, Social Semiotics), “Representing Chairman Mao: A Social-semiotic Analysis of Two Statues on a Red Tour” (2014, Visual Communication), “The Multimodal Construal of the Experiential Domain of Recipes in Japanese and Chinese” (2013, Semiotica) and so on. She is also the co-editor of Society in Language, Language in Society: Essays in Honor of Ruqaiya Hasan (2016, Palgrave Macmillan). Her research grants include The Project of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of China (2014-2019), The Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (2020-2021), and so on.
